Create an alias
Create an alias to create a variable type that points to a node with a
NodeId
property. Create the alias in either an object or a parent node.- InProject view, select the object or object type to contain the alias.
- InProperties, selectAdd newand then selectAlias.Alias#appears inPropertiesand contains theKindproperty.
- (optional) Mouse over the end of the alias name, select , and then enter a new name for the alias.
- Set the alias:
- TheIf the source node can be set at design time, select the node or drag it fromProject viewto the alias value field.Kindproperty automatically contains a value with the relative reference node.
- If the source node can be set at runtime only, or setting the source node at runtime is required, inKind, selectSet Kind, select the reference type node, and then clickSelect.
