RIO Rack Diagnostics Tab Overview
Use this tab to view Remote I/O rack diagnostics.
I/O (input/output)
Devices that provide and/or receive data from the controller.
On this tab, you can:
- View diagnostic information
- View the last protocol error
- View retry counter
- Reset the Retry Counter and the Last Protocol Error
- View the owner of this adapter module
- Refresh all fields with data from the modulemoduleA device, typically an I/O device, that communicates with the controller. The controller, a particular 1756-IB16I or a PanelView are all considered modules.

Last Protocol Error
Displays the most recent RIO link message error.

- BT type mismatch
- BT length mismatch
- BT module requested too much data
- BT unsolicited
- BT unsuccessful
- Receive babble detected
- I/O mask data mismatch
- I/O adapter size overlap
- I/O adapter address mismatch
- I/O too many adapters online
- Receive bad CRC
- Receive glitch error
- Receive underrun
- Receive RIO error
- Duplicate scanner
- Adapter timeout error
- Receive DPLL error
- Receive abort error
- Receive frame size error
- Receive non-octet error
- Receive overrun error
- Receive CD lost error
- Receive busy error
- Receive idle error

Retry Counter
Displays how may times the module has had to retry to communicate.
Reset
Select this button to reset the Retry Counter and the Last Protocol Error.
Owner
Lists the vendor and serial number of the DHRIO (scanner) module that owns this adapter module.
Refresh
Select this button to refresh all fields with data.
