Edit parameters for an instance of an Add-On Instruction

Open the parameters for an instance of an Add-On Instruction the tag parameters of that instance. You can edit only the
Value
and
Visibility
of parameters of an Add-On Instruction instance.
Prerequisites
To edit parameters for an instance of an Add-On Instruction
  1. In the explorer bar, select System Icon
    System
    .
  2. In
    System
    , expand the
    FactoryTalk Smart Object
    and program and then double-click the routine.
  3. In the tab for the routine, right-click the title bar of the instance of the Add-On Instruction instance and select
    Open instruction parameters
    . The parameters for the instance of the Add-On Instruction appear.
    TIP: You can only change the
    Value
    and
    Visible
    parameters for the instance.
  4. In the
    Value
    column of the parameter row, change the value of a parameter.
  5. In the
    Visible
    column of the parameter row, position the switch to the right Toggle On Icon to make the parameter visible in the instance of the Add-On Instruction. Position the switch to the left Toggle Off icon to make the parameter hidden in the instance of the Add-On Instruction.
    NOTE:
    • Edit the
      Value
      and
      Visible
      properties in
      Properties
      for the instance of the Add-On Instruction.
    • Edit the parameters for a different instance of the Add-On Instruction from the routine. In the upper-right corner of the tab for the routine, select the drop-down arrow and from the list of all of the instances of the Add-On Instruction in the project and their paths, select the instance.
    • Edit the parameters for the definition of the Add-On Instruction from the routine. In the upper-right corner of the tab for the routine, select the arrow and from the list, select the Add-On Instruction at the top of the list. No path appears for the definition. You can edit tags and all parameters for the definition of the Add-On Instruction.
