Monitor controller capacity

, use the information in
Controller Capacity
 to monitor controller memory usage.
To monitor controller capacity:
  1. On the explorer bar, select Devices Icon
    Devices
    .
  2. In
    Devices
    , select the controller.
  3. If
    Properties
    is not open, on the pane
    bar, select Properties Icon
    Properties
    .
  4. Under
    Controller Capacity
    , monitor the controller memory usage. The Controller Capacity pane indicates the used and unused blocks on the controller. Blocks represent units that consume the controller’s memory.
    If the size of the project approaches or exceeds the total capacity available in the controller, a message warns you about the limited or exceeded capacity. When the controller capacity is exceeded, you cannot download to the controller.
    Monitor these capacity indicators:
    • Usage
      . Shows the percentage of blocks used by the project.
    • Available
      . The number of unused blocks.
    • Used
      . The number of blocks used by the project.  
    • Total
      . The total number of blocks available in the controller.
