Configuring a Motion Direct Command (MSO, MSF, MASD, MASR, MDF, MAFR, MAH, MGSD, MGSR, MGSP, MDW)

Motion Direct Commands are useful when you are commissioning or debugging a motion application because the let you issue motion commands while you are online. You do not have to write or execute an application program.
The content of the Motion Direct Command dialog box varies depending on the command.
To configure a Motion Direct Command:
  1. From the Axis or Motion Group menu, choose the axis or motion group on which you want to perform the command.
  2. Click to modify the properties, if necessary.
  3. Click
    Execute
    to verify the instruction operands.
  4. If you are issuing a Motion Direct Command to a CIP Safety drive, a dialog box opens on the screen if the drive is not in the correct state, or the drive is already permitting motor torque in Program Mode.
    If you want to perform the operation while the safety controller is in Program Mode, click
    Yes
    to bypass the Safe Torque Off safety function. Skip to step 5.
    Click
    No
    to cancel the command and close the dialog box.
  5. Click the
    Motion Group Shutdown
    button to force all axes in the motion group into the Shutdown state.
  6. Click
    Close
    to close the Motion Direct Command dialog box.
