Overview
FSMA Section 204 defines the Food Traceability Final Rule, which establishes additional recordkeeping requirements for domestic or foreign entities that manufacture, process, pack, or hold foods on the Food Traceability List (FTL) destined for sale to U.S. consumers. The rule went into effect on January 20, 2023 and will be enforced starting on January 20, 2026.
