Configuring a Motion Direct Command
Motion Direct Commands let you issue motion commands while you are online without having to write or execute an application program. The commands are useful when you are commissioning or debugging a motion application.
The content of the Motion Direct Command dialog box varies depending on the command.
To configure a Motion Direct Command
- Click the+sign in front of one of these command groups to expand the list of commands you can choose from.
- Motion State
- Motion Move
- Motion Group
- Motion Event
- Configure the operands for the selected command, as appropriate.Refer to the Instruction Set Reference help for more information on specific operands.
- ClickExecuteto verify the instruction operands.
- If you are issuing a Motion Direct Command to a CIP Safety drive, a dialog box opens on the screen if the drive is not in the correct state, or the drive is already permitting motor torque in Program Mode.If you want to perform the operation while the safety controller is in Program Mode, clickYesto bypass the Safe Torque Off safety function. Skip to step 5.ClickNoto cancel the command and close the dialog box.
- Click theMotion Group Shutdownbutton to force all axes in the motion group into the Shutdown state.
- ClickCloseto close the Motion Direct Command dialog box.
