    Open
    to open the download folder.
  2. In the download folder, double-click on
    FactoryTalk® Optix
Runtime Tools .exe file and wait for the installation process to complete.
    The
    FactoryTalk® Optix
    Application Update Service and
    FactoryTalk® Optix
    Entitlement Manager are now installed.
NOTE: If the project includes an ODBC Database linked to a MySQL server, install a
MySQL ODBC connector
additional package that you can download from the Microsoft products page.
NOTE: If the project includes an ODBC Database linked to an SQL server, install a
ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server
additional package that you can download from the Microsoft products page.
TIP: To install
FactoryTalk® Optix
Studio or the Windows Runtime Tools or both in silent mode, run the following scripts in the Windows Command Prompt terminal by replacing the
<version>
placeholder accordingly.
FTOptixStudioSetup_Win32_<version>.exe /Q /IAcceptAllLicenseTerms
FactoryTalkOptixRuntimeToolsSetup_Win32_<version>.exe /Q /IAcceptAllLicenseTerms
Silent mode is useful if you do not want to interact with the script and for various automations.
