Launch FactoryTalk Optix Studio Pro
Once an entitlement has been allocated, you can launch FactoryTalk Optix Studio Pro from either your desktop or a web browser, having the Pro features enabled in either way.
NOTE:
Without any entitlement allocation, FactoryTalk Optix Studio behaves as FactoryTalk Optix Studio Standard.
NOTE:
You can use FactoryTalk Optix Studio Pro if you have been assigned an entitlement or granted a 90-day trial period.
- Launch FactoryTalk Optix Studio Pro from your desktop:IMPORTANT: Despite the application icon on the desktop remains unchanged, the Pro features will show up upon valid user login and entitlement allocation.
- In the WindowsStartmenu, start typingFactoryTalk Optix Studioor double-click the FactoryTalk Optix Studio icon on your desktop.
- Once the application opens, if you are not signed in, selectSign infrom the top bar and sign in with your MyRockwell account credentials.
- If you made any changes to your entitlements while working with FactoryTalk Optix Studio, restart the application.
- Launch FactoryTalk Optix Studio Pro from a web browser:
- Access FactorytalkHub.com and select theFactoryTalk Optixtile.
- Authenticate as required. See Authenticate your FactoryTalk Hub account.
- On the FactoryTalk Optix landing page, selectOpen in Browser.TIP:If you do not have an entitlement for FactoryTalk Optix Studio Pro, a dialog displayingEntitlement requiredopens.CompleteName,Email, andDescriptionand then selectSubmit.You will receive an email to grant you a trial entitlement when your request is approved. Approval can take up to 24 hours. You can download and install the desktop version of FactoryTalk Optix Standard until your FactoryTalk Optix Pro entitlement is approved. When the entitlement is available, repeat the steps above.
- SelectContinueto launch FactoryTalk Optix Studio.TIP:SelectingCancelkeeps the FactoryTalk Optix landing page open.To automatically open FactoryTalk Optix Pro from your last session, select the avatar with your initials in the upper right corner of the landing page, and then inSettings, selectAuto open last used workspaceand selectSave.NOTE: Once you launch FactoryTalk Optix Studio Pro from a browser once, it automatically launches the next time you open the FactoryTalk Optix landing page.
