ControlSyncFault

Applies to: Servo and Servo Drive axes.
ControlSyncFault is a Boolean attribute. It is set when the
Logix Designer
 application motion controller detects four consecutive missed position updates from a 1756-M02AE servo module (for a Servo axis) or a 1756-M08SE SERCOS module (for a Servo Drive axis). A ControlSyncFault shuts down the module.
ControlSyncFault is a recoverable condition.
To clear a ControlSyncFault:
  1. Reduce the loading of the motion task (increase coarse update rate in motion group properties, increase cycle time in the M08SE properties).
  2. Reconfigure the motion module (1756-M02AE or 1756-M08SE).
The occurrence of a ControlSyncFault sets bit #0 of the ModuleFaults attribute, the ModuleFault attribute, and bit #1 of the AxisFault attribute.
