Compute Module with multiple backplanes in controller path unable to communicate with controller
The Compute Module cannot communicate with the controller if there is more than one Backplane in the controller path. For example, the module is unable to communicate with the controller if the path is Backplane\1\A\10.220.173.66\Backplane\3. However, paths resembling either Backplane\3 or Backplane\1\A\10.220.173.66 allow the module to communicate with the controller.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.2.0.
Image does not appear at runtime [3140280]
If an image file in a project does not appear in the runtime application, use a third party application to resize the image and make it smaller.

No error appears when misconfiguring a string as a Discrete Input for a Modbus Station and all other tag reads fail [2351429]
Assigning a string tag to a Discrete input memory area does not display an error message and causes read errors on all tags for the Modbus Station containing the misconfigured tag.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.3.0.
Renaming a user-defined library using OneDrive may result in synchronization errors [2348900]
OneDrive is not recommended for storing user-defined libraries and may result in synchronization errors and duplicate files when renaming libraries. If attempting to use OneDrive to rename a library, unlink OneDrive when renaming the library. To unlink OneDrive, see Turn off, disable, or uninstall OneDrive.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.3.0.
Custom library elements do not appear without restarting FactoryTalk Optix [2371413]
Elements added to a custom library do not appear in
Libraries
search until you restart FactoryTalk Optix.

Some videos may not play on computers running Microsoft Windows [2212837]
If you emulate a project on a computer that is running
Microsoft®
Windows®
, some videos may not play. Videos will play if you deploy the project to a device.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.1.0.
Unable to connect to certain Logix Controllers over ControlNet [3385425]
When trying to connect to one of the following controller types over a ControlNet network:
  • 1769-L35CR
    CompactLogix
  • 1768
    CompactLogix
  • 1768
    Compact GuardLogix®
You cannot route through a 1756-ENxT(R) module to connect to the controller. You need to use one of the following EtherNet/IP modules:
  • 1756-ENBT
  • 1756-EWEB
Min and Max values do not display for Date Time and Duration types [3370306]
FactoryTalk Optix
does not support Min and Max values for Date Time and Duration types. Do not import Min or Max values for these types.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.4.0
Unable to create a project in a network folder
Attempting to create a project in a network folder displays an error indicating that
FactoryTalk Optix
cannot rename the project template.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.4.0.
Runtime tool cannot deploy to second computer if the computer name contains special characters [3303008]
Do not use Chinese or European special characters in computer names.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.4.0.
Unable to compile NetSolution [3327229]
NetSolution does not compile without internet access. Establish an internet connection to retrieve the required components.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.3.0.
Emulator unable to connect the InfluxDB server via VPN [3350681]
Use Runtime Tools to connect the InfluxDB server via VPN. You can then deploy the project to the selected device.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.4.0.
Unable to debug DesignTime NetLogic from Visual Studio Code [3511011]
The C# extension for Visual Studio Code was updated and some issues were detected with the recent versions. To debug design time NetLogic from Visual Studio Code, revert the C# extension to version 2.4.4 or earlier.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.3.1.
Rotated accordions may not appear as intended [1891903]
Rotated accordions are not supported.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.4.0.
Broken references when importing widgets from the template library [3634901]
NetLogic defined on a child of a widget will not be imported from the template library when it contains the same name as other NetLogic used within the project resulting in broken NetLogic references.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.4.0.
Application does not automatically start after project upload when Running as a Service [3628522]
An application that terminates after uploading the project with application files to FactoryTalk Optix Studio will not automatically restart when running FactoryTalk Optix as a Service. Manually start the runtime serve or redeploy the application.
This anomaly first identified in version 1.4.0.
Cannot deploy an application when NetLogic script is open [3545605]
Application deployment will abort with error message “Unable to prepare project source archive: copy” if any NetLogic script is open. Close the script and deploy the application again.

Cannot communicate with a controller using the WAN port on an OptixPanel or Embedded Edge Compute module [3213290]
The OptixPanel and Embedded Edge Compute module cannot communicate with a controller using the WAN port. The OptixPanel uses port 2 for WAN and port 1 for LAN and the Embedded Edge Compute module uses port 1 for WAN and port 2 for LAN. Use the LAN port to communicate with the controller.

An advanced SVG image with opacity defined at the group level is not shown correctly [3249226]
Opacity applied to sub-elements of an advanced SVG image is not shown as expected when running in the emulator or OptixPanel when it is defined at the group level. Apply the opacity at the element level for expected results.
