Search for cross-references

Use the cross-reference feature to search for all tag references. A cross-reference tag returns all routine references, including the instruction type and if the reference is destructive.
To search for cross-references
  1. Open the tag from either the Ladder Diagram or Tag Editor.
    • From the Ladder Diagram, right-click the tag and select
      Find all references
      .
    • From the Tag Editor, right-click the first cell of the tag row and select
      Find all references
    A new tab opens that contains a list of the routines in which the tag is referenced, grouped by program.
    TIP: If no references exist for the tag, the message
    No references were found
     shows in the cross-reference tab.
  2. If it is not already expanded, select the caret to expand the program to view the routines that reference the tag.
