PBL output gate

Use the
Advanced - Output gate
tab of the
PBL Properties
dialog box to select the source for the output of a PBL instruction.
Configure the output gate for a Process Boolean Logic (PBL) instruction
  1. On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
    • On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
    • In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and select
      Configure <tag name>
      .
  2. Under the
    Advanced
    tab, select
    Output gate
    .
  3. On the
    Select source
    menu, select the source for the output.
  4. Select the
    Invert
    checkbox to invert, or reverse, the output value.
  5. Configure delay timers for outputs:
    • Off delay time
      . Enter an Off delay time in seconds. A delay helps prevent false trips of the output.
    • On delay time
      . Enter an On delay time in seconds. A delay helps prevent spurious trips of the output.
  6. When online with the controller, monitor the
    Device state
    and
    Device issues
    indicators at the bottom left of the dialog box:
    • Device state
      . Displays the current device state depending on the value of the Out_Live parameter. Use the
      HMI
      tab to enter text in the
      Text to display when output equals 0
      and
      Text to display when output equals 1
      boxes.
    • Device issues
      . Displays fault conditions:
      None
      , or
      Configuration error
      .
  7. Select
    Apply
    .
