HMI navigation for PPID
Use the
Navigation
tab on the PPID Properties
dialog box to configure navigation from the HMI to additional devices or destinations for Process Proportional + Integral + Derivative (PPID) instructions.To enable HMI navigation for PPID instructions
- On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
- On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select
.
- In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and selectConfigure <tag name>.
- Under theHMItab, selectNavigation.
- (Optional) To allow navigation to a destination from the HMI faceplate, selectAllow navigationfor each destination.
- In theObject tag namebox, enter the controller path and the destination tag. For example, the object tag name for an Input PV object could be /North_Area::[ProcessStrategies]InputPV01.
- When online with the controller, monitor theDevice state,Device issues, andDevice modeindicators at the bottom left of the dialog box:
- Device state. When theLogix Designerapplication is online with the controller, displays the current device state, suchSP rampingorCV held.
- Device issues. When theLogix Designerapplication is online with the controller, displays fault conditions, such asPV uncertain,SP fail, orConfiguration error.
- Device mode. When theLogix Designerapplication is online with the controller, displays the current device mode:
- Manual
- Auto
- Cascade (no Ratio)
- Ratio
- SelectApply.
