PVSD input and output datalinks

Use the
Datalinks configuration
tab of the
PVSD Properties
dialog box to configure the input and output datalinks for the Process Variable Speed Drive (PVSD) instruction.
To configure input and output datalinks for PVSD instructions
  1. On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
    • On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
    • In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and select
      Configure <tag name>
      .
  2. Select the arrow next to
    Advanced
    and then select
    Datalinks configuration
    .
  3. Set the parameters:
    • Drive has input datalink
. Select the check box if the drive has an input datalink. Clear the check box if an input datalink is not used.
    • Input datalink scaling parameters
. Enter values for the maximum and minimum Input Datalink input signal from the drive in drive (raw) units, and values for the maximum and minimum Input Datalink in engineering (display) units. These values scale the Input Datalink input from drive units to display units. These entries are disabled if the
      Drive has input datalink
      check box is clear.
    • Drive has output datalink
. Select the check box if the drive has an output datalink. Clear the check box if an output datalink is not used.
    • Output datalink scaling parameters
. Enter values for the maximum and minimum Output Datalink in engineering (display) units, and values for the maximum and minimum Output Datalink output signal to the drive in drive (raw) units. These values scale the Output Datalink output from display units to drive units. These entries are disabled if the
      Drive has output datalink
      check box is cleared.
    • Output datalink
. Enter values for the maximum and minimum Output Datalink clamping limits, in engineering (display) units. The Output Datalink is clamped to keep it within these limits when sending to the drive. These entries are disabled if the
      Drive has output datalink
      check box is clear.
  4. View the read-only parameters:
    • Input datalink from drive
      .
Displays the Input Datalink raw value from the drive in input (drive) units.
    • Input datalink value
. Displays the Input Datalink value in engineering (display) units, such as amps.
    • Output datalink value
. Displays the Output Datalink value in engineering (display) units, such as Hz.
    • Output datalink to drive
. Displays the Output Datalink raw value to the drive in output (drive) units.
    • Device state
      . When the
      Logix Designer
application is online with the controller, the indicator displays the current device state, such as Stopped, Running, or Out of service.
    • Device issues
      . When the
      Logix Designer
application is online with the controller, the indicator displays fault conditions, such as Drive fault or I/O fault.
  5. Select
    Apply
    .
