Add Sub Area

The user can add the Sub Area under the Area. Perform the following steps to add a Sub Area:
  1. On the left navigation menu, drop-down the
    Configuration
     menu and click
    Asset Setup
    .
  2. Click the
    Area
     node in the Hierarchy list.
  3. Click the [] icon and select
    Add Node
    .
  4. In the
    Add Node
     window, set these parameters:
    • Select item type
      : Select the Area radio button in the left pane.
    • Name
      : Provide the Sub Area name.
    • Description
      : Provide a description of the Sub Area.
    • Functional Location
      : Provide the location details.
      NOTE: Select the
      Auto Generate Functional Location
       checkbox to use the system-generated functional location.
    • Configuration Status
      : By default, Configuration Status is in Draft, and the user can select the required status from the drop-down list.
  5. Click
    Add
    .
    Add Sub Area Window
    The "
    Sub Area was added to hierarchy successfully
    " message is displayed.
  6. (Optional) In the
    Info
     tab, click
    Edit
     and perform the following actions:
    • Geographical Location
      : Provide the Geographical Location details.
    • Contact Details
      : Provide the Contact Details.
    • Remarks
      : Provide the Remarks details.
  7. Click
    Save
    .
