Configure KPI for Asset

After adding an Asset, the user needs to configure KPIs.
Perform the following steps to configure KPI at the asset level:
  1. After adding an Asset, select the
    KPIs
    tab.
  2. Click
    Add
    .
    Configure KPI
  3. In the
    Basic Details
    tab, set these parameters:
    • KPI Name
      : Provide the KPI Name details.
    • Data Types
      : Select the required Data Type from the drop-down list.
    • Unit of Measure
      : Select the required Unit of Measure from the drop-down list.
    • KPI Description
      : Provide a description for the KPI.
    • Configuration Status
      : Select the required status from the drop-down list.
  4. Click
    Next
    . The Configure Function tab is displayed.
    Basic Details
There are four different function types available in the Configure Function tab. Each one has a different workflow.
For User-Defined and Pre-Defined Formula function type
:
  1. In the
    Configure Function
    tab, set these parameters:
    • Function Type
      : Select the
      User-Defined Formula
      or
      Pre-Defined Formula
      function type from the drop-down list.
    • Function Name
      : Select the required Function Name from the drop-down list.
    • Version
      : Select the required Version number from the drop-down list.
    • Calculation Frequency
      : Select the required Calculation Frequency from the drop-down list.
    • Map the variable names to the sensor, KPI, or user input.
  2. Click
    Next
    .
    Configure Equation
  3. In the
    Configure KPI Limits
    tab, perform the following steps:
    • Turn on the
      Enable Detection and Alert
      toggle button.
    • Select the required
      Alert Delay Timer
      from the Alert Delay Timer drop-down list.
    • Provide the
      LAL
      ,
      MAL
      ,
      HAL
      ,
      LAU
      ,
      MAU
      , and
      HAU
      values in the respective boxes.
  4. Click
    Finish
    .
    Configure KPI Alerts
For Pre-Defined Operator function type:
  1. In the
    Configure Function
    tab, set these parameters:
    • Function Type
      : Select the
      Standard Deviation
      ,
      Derivative
      or
      Correlation
      function type from the drop-down list.
    • Function Name
      : Select the required Function Name from the drop-down list.
    • Version
      : Select the required Version number from the drop-down list.
    • Calculation Frequency
      : Select the required Calculation Frequency from the drop-down list.
    • Map the variable name to the sensor, KPI, or user input.
  2. Click
    Next
    .
  3. In the
    Configure KPI Limits
    tab, perform the following steps:
    • Turn on the Enable Detection and Alert toggle button.
    • Select the required
      Alert Delay Timer
      from the Alert Delay Timer drop-down list.
    • Provide the
      LAL
      ,
      MAL
      ,
      HAL
      ,
      LAU
      ,
      MAU
      , and
      HAU
      values in the respective boxes.
  4. Click
    Finish
    .
For Asset Class Analysis Function Type:
For this function type, the following function names are available:
  • Cavitation Detection
  • Remaining Useful Life
  • Health Score
  • PID Response for Tank level
The workflow is similar for all the function names, except for the health score.
For the Health Score function name:
  1. In the Configure Function tab, set these parameters:
    • Function Type
      : Select the
      Asset Class Analysis
      function type from the drop-down list.
    • Function Name
      : Select the
      Health Score
      Function Name from the drop-down list.
    • Version
      : Select the required Version number from the drop-down list.
    • Calculation Frequency
      : Select the required Calculation Frequency from the drop-down list.
      NOTE: The Pre-Requisites section displays the configured Sensors, Components, and Asset Class Analysis at the asset level.
    • Map the variable name to the sensor, KPI, or user input.
      NOTE: Based on the selected KPIs and depending on the type of function, the Prerequisite section is displayed to the user, This section lists all types of pre-requisites required for creating the KPI, If any of the defined prerequisites are not met, then the user is not allowed to create the KPI. In this release, this section is enabled only for Asset Class Analysis Function Type and Health Score KPI name.

  3. In the
    Configure KPI Limits
    tab, perform the following steps:
    • Turn on the Enable Detection and Alert toggle button.
    • Select the required
      Alert Delay Timer
      from the Alert Delay Timer drop-down list.
    • Provide the
      LAL
      ,
      MAL
      ,
      HAL
      ,
      LAU
      ,
      MAU
      , and
      HAU
      values in the respective boxes.
  4. Click
    Finish
    .
For the remaining function names
  1. In the
    Configure Function
    tab, set these parameters:
    • Function Type
      : Select the
      Asset Class Analysis
      function type from the drop-down list.
    • Function Name
      : Select the
      Cavitation detection
      ,
      Remaining Useful Life
      , or
      PID Response for Tank level
      function Name from the drop-down list.
    • Version
      : Select the required Version number from the drop-down list.
    • Calculation Frequency
      : Select the required Calculation Frequency from the drop-down list.
    • Select the required units for the variable name from the
      Unit of Measure
      drop-down list.
      NOTE: This step is not applicable for
      PID Response for Tank level
      function name.
  2. Click
    Next

  3. In the
    Configure KPI Limits
    tab, perform the following steps:
    • Turn on the Enable Detection and Alert toggle button.
    • Select the required
      Alert Delay Timer
      from the Alert Delay Timer drop-down list.
      NOTE: This step is not applicable for
      Cavitation detection
      function name.
    • Provide the
      LAL
      ,
      MAL
      ,
      HAL
      ,
      LAU
      ,
      MAU
      , and
      HAU
      values in the respective boxes.
      NOTE: This step is not applicable for
      Cavitation detection
      function name.
  4. Click
    Finish
