View PlantPAx Instruction Usage

Use the
Instruction Usage
window to view which PlantPAx and process instructions are used in which tasks. This view provides a way to see the overall distribution of loading on a project for each task.
To view PlantPAx Instruction Usage
  1. Use the
    Category
    column to determine the type of instruction (for example, PlantPAx, Add-On Instruction, Safety, Alarms).
  2. Use the
    Instruction
    column to determine the name of the instruction.
  3. Use the tasks columns to determine the number of each task in the project.
    If Tasking Model is enabled, use the columns to determine the number of
    Fast
    ,
    Normal
    ,
    Slow
    , and
    System tasks
    in the project.
  4. Use the
    Total
    columns to determine the number of times the instruction is found in all tasks.
    TIP:
    Instruction Usage counts exclude instructions found in online edits, unscheduled programs, additional or multiple calls to subroutines, and those that are inaccessible due to source protection.
  5. Use the bottom row to add a new instruction to the
    Instruction Usage
    window.
    TIP:
    In the
    Category
    and
    Name
    column, type an initial letter to view a drop-down list of names. In the
    Name
    column, if an instruction already exists in the
    Instruction Usage
    window, the instruction will not show in the drop-down list.
  6. Select
    Refresh
    to view the most recent data. The data does not update automatically.
    TIP:
    Select the top left cell and then right-click to select
    Copy
    to copy the data to the clipboard.
  7. (optional) To hide unused instructions, select
    Hide unused instructions
    .
  8. (optional) To delete a row, right-click the row and select
    Delete
    .
    TIP:
    Use one of three options to delete rows:
    • Select an individual row.
    • Use the
      Ctrl
      or
      Shift
      keys to select multiple rows.
    • Select the top right cell to select all rows.
IMPORTANT:
PlantPAx and process instructions cannot be deleted from the list.
