Create a connection for a sequencing parameter

Use a program parameter to create a connection to make external data available to the
Equipment Sequence
. This allows the configuration of the sequence elements to reference data inside the sequence program.
To create a connection for a sequencing parameter:
  1. In the
    Controller Organizer
    , expand the folder for the program for creating a program parameter connection, and double-click
    Parameters and Local Tags
    .
  2. In the
    Equipment Sequence
     Parameters and Local Tags
    dialog box, choose the input or output parameter to connect.
  3. In the
    Properties
     pane, expand
    Parameter Connections
    .
  4. Select
    New Connection
    .
  5. Select the
    Browse
     (
    ...
    ) button.
  6. In the
    Tag
     box, select the arrow.
  7. In the
    Tag Browser
    , clear the check box for
    Show controller tags
     to limit the number of parameters in the list to the sequence scoped tags.
  8. In the
    Show parameters from other program
     list, choose the program to connect this input or output parameter.
  9. In the list of available parameters, double-click the desired parameter.
  10. Select
    OK
    .
