ModuleHardwareFault
Applies to: Servo and Servo Drive axes.
ModuleHardwareFault is a Boolean attribute. It is set when a 1756-M02AE servo module (for a Servo axis) or a 1756-M08SE SERCOS module (for a Servo Drive axis) detects a hardware fault, including watchdog faults. A ModuleHardwareFault shuts down the module.
ModuleHardwareFault is a recoverable condition.
To clear a ModuleHardwareFault:
- Reduce the loading of the motion task (for a Servo Drive axis, increase coarse update rate in motion group properties, increase cycle time in the M08SE properties).
- Reconfigure the motion module (1756-M02AE or 1756-M08SE).
The occurrence of a ModuleHardwareFault sets bit #3 of the ModuleFaults attribute, the ModuleFault attribute, and bit #1 of the AxisFault attribute.
