Change SFC Editor Preferences

Use the
Workstation Options
dialog box to customize the behavior and appearance of the Logix Designer application. The
Categories
parameter contains a list of all options categories that can be configured.
To change SFC Editor preferences:
  1. Select
    Tools > Options
    to open the
    Workstation Options
    dialog box.
  2. Select the
    SFC Editor
    category.
  3. To have the sequential function chart routine to automatically scroll to keep the active step in the routine view select the
    Auto-Scroll During Online Monitoring
    check box.
    If there is more than one active step, the view is positioned with the first active step found starting at the top of the sequential function chart.
  4. To enable automatic element alignment, select the
    Automatically Align Language Elements On Create or Move
    check box.
  5. Under the
    Layout Selected SFC Elements
    heading, configure the parameters:
    • Select the
      Avoid Sheet Boundaries
      check box to ensure that when SFC elements are moved (using the Layout Selected SFC Elements command), none are allowed to cross a sheet boundary.
    • From the
      Branch Justification
      menu, choose the alignment (justification) to use for the input and output connections of selected SFC branches.
      Choose from
      Left
      or
      Center
      .
  6. Click
    OK
    to close the
    Workstation Options
    dialog box, or click any of the other categories to continue configuring workstation options.
