Using the Tag Browser

Use the tag browser to quickly select the base tag that you want to reference and to select a tag as an endpoint for a connection.
The Tag Browser lists programs from which to select a connecting tag in addition to controller scoped tags.
An icon appears next to the tag Name to indicate the scope and class of the tag.

When the tag browser is launched for a parameter that has a connection outside of the current program scope, the program to which the connected parameter belongs is selected by default in the box. If you have a program selected in the box when you leave the tag browser, when you launch the tag browser again, for a context with no existing connections, the scope combo box will show the previously selected value as the default value. Otherwise, the default selection is <none>.
When a program is selected in the box, the Input, Output, InOut, and Public parameters of the selected program are included in the list box.
TIP: You can resize the columns in the tag browser by clicking and dragging on the edges of the column. When your columns are too narrow to see the entire width, tooltips are provided so that you can see the full contents of the selected field.
TIP: If the tag is a SINT, INT, or DINT type, you can use a bit selection menu to select a specific bit. Select the down arrow next to the tag name to bring up a popup menu from which you can select the appropriate bit.
