Start 1756 analog I/O module calibration

Calibrate module inputs and outputs to obtain optimum accuracy. The
Logix Designer
application calibration screens guide you through the entire process.
Before you begin:
  • Verify the controller is online and in Program mode.
  • Stop the process your output module is controlling or your input module is tracking. Control may be impaired during the calibration process.
  • Disconnect input signals and connect test signals. Any control that depends on the normal input signals will not have them during the calibration process.
  • Disconnect output signals and connect a suitable measuring instrument. Any control that depends on the outputs from this module will not have them during the calibration process.
  • 1756-OF4, -OF8, -IT6I, -IT6I2, -IF6I and -IF6CIS modules can be calibrated in multiple input ranges. Select the appropriate
    Output Range
    or
    Input Range
    on the
    Configuration
    tab on the
    Module Properties
    dialog.
    IMPORTANT:
    Note about calibration:
    • Entering calibration causes all input channels to freeze at their current values and fault. Control may be impaired.
    • Calibration interacts directly with the module overruling any controller that may be trying to use the module.
    • Control may be impaired by the calibration process.
    • When you begin the calibration process, if a real-time connection is currently open, all module points fault.
