Operands on Configuration Dialogs
Some controls on configuration dialog boxes have immediate apply semantics. These fields display the blue arrow to the right or left.
Applying Changes
These actions apply changes:
- select a control that shares the same parent as the dirty controls
- select Apply (this applies to all fields that are dirty not just the fields with blue arrows)
- select OK. (this applies to all fields that are dirty not just the fields with blue arrows)
- select Enter
- select Tab or Shift+Tab
Discarding Changes
These actions discard the changes:
- select Cancel
- select Esc on the control with the Blue Arrow
- switch to another tab
- the control or the dialog looses focus to some other window that is not a child of the same parent
- close the dialog using the system menu. This includes selecting close.
