Logical Organizer
The
Logical Organizer
window is a graphical representation of the logical organization of your project that you can resize, undock, dock, and move. It contains a hierarchical tree of the programs and folders that contain information about the programs in the current project. You can use the
Logical Organizer
to create and organize programs independent of the execution model in the Controller Organizer
. Unlike the Controller Organizer
, where folders are only created when you add components to a project, in the Logical Organizer
you can create folders to help organize programs. Also, unlike the Controller Organizer
, the only system-defined folders are the root node and the Parameters and Local Tags
folder. The Controller Fault Handler
and Power-Up Handler
programs are also not included in the Logical Organizer
. When you create a program in the Logical Organizer
or the Controller Organizer
, the program also appears in the other organizer. In front of each item that has child items, there is an icon that indicates whether the folder is expanded or collapsed. Select the icon to expand the item.
TIP:
When you close the open project or the Logix Designer application, the last known expansion state for the Controller <name> high-level folder within the
Logical Organizer
is saved and stored.Right-clicking an item opens a context-sensitive menu for that item. Commands on the menu are shortcuts to the item's
Properties
dialog box and menu bar commands. Double-clicking an item opens the Properties
dialog box.The
Quick View
pane is the area directly beneath the Logical Organizer
tree. It gives you a summary of information related to the selected item in the Logical Organizer
