Edit task properties

Use the
Task Properties
 dialog box to edit the properties of existing tasks.
To edit task properties:
  1. Open the Task Properties dialog:
    • From the Controller Organizer, right-click the task and select
      Properties
      .
  2. In
    Name
    , enter the name of the task.
    Name cannot exceed 40 characters. If entering more than 40 characters, the system sends a notification notifies and ignores the extra characters.
  3. In
    Description
    , enter a description of the task.
    Description cannot exceed 512 bytes. If attempting to enter more than 512 bytes, the system send a notification and ignores the extra characters.
  4. Click the
    Configuration
     tab to configure task type and watchdog information for this task.
    The type of configuration required varies, based on the type of task chosen. Safety tasks are only configured as periodic tasks.
  5. Click the
    Program/Phase Schedule
     tab to configure which programs and phases to schedule under this task.
