Change trend preferences

To change trend preferences:
  1. Select the
    Trends
     category.
  2. In
    Default Sample Period
    , enter the value you want to use as the sample period for most trends.
    When you create a new trend or a quick trend, this value is automatically used as the sample period, unless you specify another value. Valid values are in the range from 1 millisecond to 30 minutes; the default value is 10 milliseconds
  3. Under the
    Logging
     heading, choose the
    Trend Log Directory
    .
    In
    Trend Log Directory
    , enter the directory where you want to save permanent trend log files.
    Trend log files are generated when the trend is turned on. You can save them by specifying a directory for them. By default, they are saved in the project directory.
  4. Select
    OK
     to close the
    Workstation Options
     dialog box.
