You asked, we listened! We now offer a 30-day license of FactoryTalk® Logix Echo to experience the latest controller emulation software from Rockwell Automation risk-free. Witness firsthand the benefits of controller emulation for program testing, troubleshooting, and training for ControlLogix 5580, GuardLogix 5580, CompactLogix 5380 and Compact GuardLogix 5380 controllers– now more accessible than ever before. This trial offers a dual benefit: alongside experiencing the emulation software's features, you'll also have access to exclusive functionalities available only on Rockwell Automation’s latest family of controllers, all without the need for physical hardware. With FactoryTalk Logix Echo, you can assess how a controller upgrade to the latest platform effectively tackles your challenges or aligns with your business requirements, all before investing in hardware. Get a glimpse of the features that you've been missing from physical controllers through the emulated software controllers with FactoryTalk Logix Echo. Here are a few features that you can try today with a complimentary 30-day trial of FactoryTalk Logix Echo (requires a feature-compatible Studio 5000 Logix Designer® version.)
Logix Tag-Based Alarms
Implementing Tag-Based Alarms enhances efficiency by minimizing development and troubleshooting time. A simple tag configuration can define alarm conditions based on the status or values of specific tags, replacing the need for instruction-based alarms (ALMA/ALMD). Users can reduce their overall development time with pre-configured modular code or as an Add-On Instruction (AOI) that have been tested. Additionally, FactoryTalk Logix Echo can help visualize these alarms through your HMI without hardware at the trial or testing phase.
Logix Tag-based alarms are available with Studio 5000 Logix Designer version 31.
Axis Test Mode
Don’t let lack of access to physical drives stop you from testing your program for functionality on a 5380 or 5580 controller family. Downloading a project into a FactoryTalk Logix Echo controller will automatically place the CIP Motion axes into test mode, reinforcing the “no modifications” required value of the software. This includes support for safety task motion logic, allowing for validation of the code, and expanding virtual testing capabilities to more customers. Use this feature to commission, test, or train engineers or operators on your system without physical controllers or motion hardware in a safe, isolated environment.
Axis Test Mode is available with Studio 5000 Logix Designer version 35 (for Safety Motion Tasks use version 36.)
Process Controllers
Process controllers’ users get a curated process-based environment in Studio 5000 Logix Designer. Catered specifically to designing a process application more efficiently, process controllers are configured with a default tasking model and dedicated instructions. The configuration helps users to achieve better overall design and deployment that follow PlantPAx guidelines for more predictable performance. Additionally, embedded process instructions allow more efficient memory usage and a simpler user experience in comparison to adding AOIs to achieve the same functionality. Get the full experience by running the application on FactoryTalk Logix Echo as a process controller versus your existing controller to compare the improvements.
Process controller support is available with Studio 5000 Logix Designer version 33.
