Create a definition from a FactoryTalk Smart Object
Standalone
FactoryTalk Smart Object
s are created in the System
explorer and do not have an association with other definitions. You can convert the instance to a definition. The standalone instance becomes an instance of the new definition. You can also add a definition from an instance in Library
or from nested Smart Objects within a definition. If adding a definition to nested Smart Objects in a definition, you add the instance to the Library explorer as a definition. This converts the instance into an instance of the new definition.
