Configure an isolated integer analog output module
Create a channel-level configuration specific to an application.
To configure an isolated integer analog output module:
- Select the channel button for the channel that you want to configure.
- Select theHold for Initbox if you want the module to hold the output signal unchanged until the output value (received from the controller) is within 0.1% of full scale of the value held.
- Select theHoldbutton (under Fault State) if you want the output channel to remain at the last output value, OR
- Select the down arrow (under Fault State) if you want the output channel to go to a specific value if the connection, to the owner controller, is lost.A User button appears. Select theUserbutton.TIP:If you performed this step, please go to the next step. If you did not perform this step, please skip Step 5 and proceed with Step 6.
- Enter a value for the output to take upon fault in User Fault Value.
- Select theRamp to Faultbox for each output point for which you want to enable ramping, at the ramp rate limit, from the current output value to the fault value (when a fault occurs).
- Select theHoldbutton (under Program State) if you want the output channel to remain at the last output value, OR
- Select the down arrow (under Program State) if you want the output channel to go to a specific value if the owner controller is switched into program mode.AUserbutton appears. Select theUserbutton.TIP:If you performed this step, please go to the next step. If you did not perform this step, please skip Step 5 and proceed with Step 6.
- Enter a value for the output to take, when the module enters program state, inUser Program Value.
- Select theRamp to Programbox for each output point that you want to enable ramping, at the current rate limit, from the current output value to the program value (when a program command is received from the controller).
- Enter the maximum rate of change in the output signal for each output point, in counts per second, inRate Limit.
- SelectOKto save the changes to close the dialog.TIP:For information about what to do when a communication failure occurs, please refer to the Overview topic listed under See also below.
