Override a program of an instance

Use override to change or update the content in a Smart Object program.
  1. On the explorer bar, select
    System
    , expand the
    FactoryTalk Smart Object
    that is an instance of a definition, and then right-click a program.
  2. Select
    Override program
    . A copy of the program replaces the original program.
TIP: If selecting
Copy content
for an override, any changes to a tag value or property or a program and routine property is saved in the copy of the program. If you do not select
Copy content
, the resulting program and of the program content will be removed
