Add a disconnected transition

Adding a disconnected transition (not connected to a step) is useful to:
  • Replace an existing transition.
  • Add a transition to a structure where an additional transition is needed, such as the first element in each branch of a selective divergence.
To add a disconnected transition:
  1. Select in the Sequence Editor workspace, or select on an element to connect to in the sequence diagram.
  2. On the
    Equipment Sequence
     Element toolbar, select
    Add Step and Transition Pair
     .
  3. (optional) Right-click the existing link and then click
    Delete
     to remove any existing links from the element connectors.
  4. Click the connector of the first element to create a link, and then click the connector of the second element to attach the link.
