HMI navigation for PAI

Use the
HMI Navigation
tab of the
PAI Properties
dialog box to enable or disable navigation from the HMI to the input and output PV objects for Process Analog Input (PAI) instructions.
To enable HMI navigation to input and output objects for PAI instructions
  1. On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
    • On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
    • In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and select
      Configure <tag name>
      .
  2. Under the
    HMI
    tab, select
    Navigation
    .
  3. To allow navigation to the PV input, PV output, and smart device objects from the HMI faceplate, select
    Allow navigation
    .
  4. In the
    Object tag name
    box, enter the name of the object.
    NOTE: The name of the smart device object must match the name of the PAI object with
    _Dvc
    appended to the end of the tag name.
  5. When online with the controller, monitor the
    Device state
    and
    Device issues
    indicators at the bottom left of the dialog box:
    • Device state
      . Displays the current device state, such as
      PV good
      or
      PV uncertain
      .
    • Device issues
      . Displays fault conditions, such as
      PV bad
      or
      Configuration error
      .
  6. Select
    Apply
    .
