PDO HMI command buttons

Use the
Command configuration
tab on the
PDO Properties
dialog box to label the HMI command buttons for Process Discrete Output (PDO) instructions.
To label HMI command buttons for PDO instructions
  1. On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
    • On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
    • In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and select
      Configure <tag name>
      .
  2. Select the arrow next to
    HMI
    and then select
    Command configuration
    .
  3. Set the parameters:
    • Command button
      . Type the label to display on the
      Command
      buttons.
    • Target state
      . Type the label to display for the target state.
    • Transition state
      . Type the label to display for the transition state.
  4. View read-only parameters:
    • Device state
      . When the
      Logix Designer
      application is online with the controller, the indicator displays the current device state, such as Off, Pulse on, or Out of service.
    • Device issues
      . When the
      Logix Designer
      application is online with the controller, the indicator displays fault conditions, such as Feedback fault or I/O fault
  5. Select
    Apply
    .
