HMI text for PFO instructions

Use the
HMI
tab of the
PFO Properties
dialog box to enter information from the selected PFO instruction or function block to label HMI faceplates.
To enter HMI text for PFO instructions
  1. On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
    • On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
    • In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and select
      Configure <tag name>

  2. Open the
    HMI
    tab.
  3. Set the parameters:
    • Library name
      . The text for associating instructions with the display library for faceplate call-up.
    • Instruction name
      . The text for associating the instruction name for the faceplate call-up.
    • Display label
      . The label to show on the graphic HMI symbol.
    • Area name for security
      . The area name for the area-based security scheme adopted in HMI.
    • Help button URL
      . The user-defined URL for accessing the help from the HMI.
    • CV units
      . The text for engineering (CV) units to display on the HMI.
    • Number of decimal places for CV
      . The numeric entry for the number of decimal places to display on the HMI for the CV.
  4. View the read-only parameters:
    • Device state
      . When the
      Logix Designer
      application is online with the controller, the indicator displays the current device state, such as Off, Pulse on, or Out of service.
    • Device issues
      . When the
      Logix Designer
      application is online with the controller, the indicator displays fault conditions, such as Feedback fault or I/O fault.
  5. Select
    Apply
    .
