Create simultaneous branches

Use simultaneous branches to execute 2 or more paths of steps at the same time. All paths must finish before continuing the SFC.
To create simultaneous branches
  1. Click the step for the first branch.
  2. Press the
    Shift
    key and click the transition that is under that step.
    A selection box shows around the step and transition.

  3. Drag the step and transition to the location for the first branch.

  4. Drag the steps and transitions for the remaining branches.
  5. To connect the branches, click the pins in the order shown in this illustration.

To end simultaneous branches
  1. For the last step of each of the branches, delete all the transitions except one.

  2. To connect the branches, click the pins in the order shown in the following illustration.
