Create a user-defined data type
Use user-defined data types to create a data structure to match a machine or process. Assign a name, description, and data type for each member of the user-defined data type.
- In the explorer bar, selectLibrary.
- Expand theData Typesfolder and right-click theUser-definedfolder and selectNew data type.
- InNew data type, enter:
- Name. Enter A name for the data type
- (optional)Description. Enter a description of the data type
- (optional)Vendor. Enter a name for the vendor.
- (optional)Version Number. Use to track changes made to a data type by version number.
- (optional)Version Note. Enter a description to help identify changes made for the version.
- (optional)Open Members. Opens the list of members after creating the user-defined data type to review or add members.
- SelectCreate.
