Compact Project File dialog
Use this dialog box to compact the .ACD project file used to store the controller's programming and configuration information.
IMPORTANT:
Compacting the project file is a permanent action that cannot be undone.
Compacting the project file improves performance. Normal editing of your project can cause fragmentation that results in increased file size and degraded performance. Rockwell Automation recommends that you periodically compact your project file to eliminate this fragmentation.
Actions and messages from the Compact Database operation can be viewed in the
Results
window (View > Errors
).
