Edit parameters for an instance of an Add-On Instruction
Open the parameters for an instance of an Add-On Instruction the tag parameters of that instance. You can edit only the
Value
and Visibility
of parameters of an Add-On Instruction instance. Prerequisites
To edit parameters for an instance of an Add-On Instruction
- In the explorer bar, selectSystem.
- InSystem, expand theFactoryTalk Smart Objectand program and then double-click the routine.
- In the tab for the routine, right-click the title bar of the instance of the Add-On Instruction instance and selectOpen instruction parameters. The parameters for the instance of the Add-On Instruction appear.TIP: You can only change theValueandVisibleparameters for the instance.
- In theValuecolumn of the parameter row, change the value of a parameter.
- In theVisiblecolumn of the parameter row, position the switch to the right to make the parameter visible in the instance of the Add-On Instruction. Position the switch to the left to make the parameter hidden in the instance of the Add-On Instruction.NOTE:
- Edit theValueandVisibleproperties inPropertiesfor the instance of the Add-On Instruction.
- Edit the parameters for a different instance of the Add-On Instruction from the routine. In the upper-right corner of the tab for the routine, select the drop-down arrow and from the list of all of the instances of the Add-On Instruction in the project and their paths, select the instance.
- Edit the parameters for the definition of the Add-On Instruction from the routine. In the upper-right corner of the tab for the routine, select the arrow and from the list, select the Add-On Instruction at the top of the list. No path appears for the definition. You can edit tags and all parameters for the definition of the Add-On Instruction.
