Current Loop page
Use the settings on the
Current Loop
page in the Axis Properties
dialog box to configure the active and reactive current loop. The Converter Current Loop Tuning Method
determines whether the responsiveness of the active and reactive current loops is direct or calculated. With the
Direct
method, the Integrator Bandwidth
value determines the current loop response. This value maps to the integral gain of the converter's current loop. With the
Calculated
method, the Damping
value determines the loop response. The converter uses this value to calculate the appropriate internal current loop integral gain based on the Bandwidth and known load characteristics of the AC Line. The
Current Loop
page is available when, on the General
page, the Axis Configuration
is set to Regenerative AC/DC Converter
or Low Harmonic AC/DC Converter
.
TIP:
To open the Current Loop page:
- In theController Organizer, expand theMotion Groupsfolder, and double-click an axis.
- From theAxis Propertiesdialog box, inCategories, clickGeneral.
- In theAxis Configurationbox, selectRegenerative AC/DC ConverterorLow Harmonic AC/DC Converter.
- InCategories, clickCurrent Loop.
Use these settings to configure active and reactive current loop.
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
Tuning Method | Determines the method used to configure the responsiveness of the active and reactive current loops. Available tuning methods are:
The parameter is unavailable when in online mode and when the axis is Servo On . |
Bandwidth | Specifies the value that determines the bandwidth of the active and reactive AC line current loops. The default value is 0.0 Hertz. The parameter is unavailable when in online mode and when the axis is Servo On . |
Integrator Bandwidth | Specifies the value that represents the bandwidth of the velocity integrator beyond which the integrator is ineffective. The default value is 0.0 Hertz. This parameter is unavailable when Tuning Method is set to Calculated . |
Damping | Specifies the damping factor that together with the bandwidth determines the responsiveness of the active and reactive AC line current loops. The default value is 0.0 Hertz. This parameter is unavailable when Tuning Method is set to Direct . |
Vector Limit | Specifies the value applied to current vector limiter which provides a configurable limit to the magnitude of the current vector of the converter's active and reactive current reference signals. The default is 100.0 % Rated. |
Parameters | Opens the Motion Axis Parameters page to modify existing or additional parameters.Tip: The Parameter List page may contain more attributes than the associated page. In some cases, attributes that display on the Parameter List page do not display on the associated page. |
