Failed to reconfigure the module
There was a problem reconfiguring the module. The error message you receive indicates one of the following conditions:
The controller’s keyswitch is in the RUN position.
No reconfiguration of modules can occur while the controller’s keyswitch is in the RUN position. The keyswitch must be set to REM or PROG before the new configuration can be sent to the module. The new configuration has been written to the controller even though this error occurred.
Module connection is faulted.
A reconfiguration of modules can not occur while the controller’s keyswitch is in the RUN position. The keyswitch must be set to REM or PROG before the new configuration data can be sent to the module. The new configuration has been written to the controller even though this error occurred.
An error occurred while sending the new configuration out to the module.
An error could have occurred at any point along the communication path from the controller to the module. The new configuration is in the controller but may not be written in the module. Possible causes of the error include:
- An overloaded CNB module causing a timeout in communication while sending the data or receiving the reply
- The module rejected the new configuration.
