Controller Properties dialog box - Internet Protocol tab

Use the
Internet Protocol
 tab of the
Controller Properties
 dialog box to configure Internet Protocol settings for the controller.
TIP: To open the Controller Properties dialog box - Internet Protocol tab:
  1. On the
    Online
    toolbar, click the
    Controller Properties
     icon.
  2. On the
    Controller Properties
    dialog box, click the
    Internet Protocol
     tab.
This tab is only available for controllers with an embedded Ethernet port. The controller must be online and you must have security permission to configure the Internet Protocol settings.
If the safety application is in a safety secured state, the
IP Address
 and
Internet Protocol (IP) Settings
 cannot be changed. The safety-secured state occurs whenever one or more of the following conditions exist.
  • Safety application is locked
  • Safety signature exists
  • Non-recoverable Safety fault is present
  • Safety partnership has failed
