Define a new Equipment Sequence
Use the
New Equipment Sequence
dialog box to define the name, description, containing task, and revision information of a new Equipment Sequence. Equipment Sequences can be created only while offline.For required boxes that are blank, or for boxes that contain errors, the border for that box is outlined in red. If hovering the cursor over the box, a tooltip displays information about the error. The
OK
and Apply
buttons are unavailable if the dialog box contains invalid data.Before you begin:
- Go offline with the controller.
To define a new Equipment Sequence:
- Go toFile > New Component >to open theEquipment SequenceNewdialog box.Equipment Sequence
- InName, enter a name for the Equipment Sequence.
- (Optional) InDescription, enter a description for the Equipment Sequence.
- (Optional) To make theEquipment Sequenceprogram a child of an existing program in the logical model, select theParentprogram. Otherwise, selectNone.
- From theSchedule Indrop-down list, choose the task to schedule theEquipment Sequence.The list contains only tasks in which theEquipment Sequencecan be scheduled. When creating theEquipment Sequenceby right-clicking a task in theController Organizer, that task is selected in this drop-down by default.
- (Optional) To give theEquipment Sequencea version string for event reporting purposes, select from the menus forMajorandMinor, and enter text inExtended Text.
- Major: The major revision number of theEquipment Sequence. The default value is 1.
- Minor: The minor revision number of theEquipment Sequence. The default value is 0.
- Extended Text: Enter additional revision information. For example, enteringcin this field, makes the equipment sequence version 1.0c. The maximum number of displayable characters is 40. Any characters exceeding the limit are ignored.
- (Optional) To continue describing theEquipment Sequencerevision, use theRevision Note.For example, list the changes made to theEquipment Sequencesince the last revision.
- (Optional) To inhibit this Equipment Sequence and prevent it from being owned or commanded, select theInhibit Sequencecheck box. The check box is cleared by default.An Equipment Sequence’s icon displays in theController Organizerwith the inhibited indicator:
- (Optional) To open theEquipment SequenceEditor upon creation of a sequence, select theOpen Sequence Diagramcheck box. The check box is selected by default.
- To configure additionalEquipment Sequenceattributes upon creation of a sequence, select theOpen propertiescheck box. The check box is clear by default. SelectOKand theEquipment Sequence Propertiesdialog box opens to theGeneraltab.
- SelectOKto create the Equipment Sequence, or selectCancelto discard all changes and close the dialog box without creating the Equipment Sequence.
