Use floating tool windows
You can float a Floating window Tool Window to place it at any location on top of the
Logix Designer
application main and other windows. Floating tool window restrictions:
- You can only float a docked tool window.
- You cannot float an auto hide tool window.
You can size a floating window. Position the mouse pointer on any window border until the pointer becomes a two-headed arrow. Press and hold the mouse button and drag the double-headed arrow to resize the window. When the window is the desired size, release the mouse button.
To float a Tool Window:
- In the Tool Window's title bar, click(Window State)and selectFloat. You can also double-click or drag the window's title bar.TIP:A floating Tool Window has only a Close button in its title bar. To display a floating Tool Window's options, right-click the floating window's toolbar.
- To position a floating Tool window, drag and drop it as desired. For more information, see Use Drag and Drop Functionality.
