Axis Properties - Tag Dialog Box Overview (AXIS_CIP_DRIVE)

Use the Tag dialog box to specify tag options for the axis tag.

Parameters

Name

Enter a name for the tag.

Description

Enter a description for the tag.

This field is optional.

Type

Displays the type of tag.

This field is read-only with a default value of Base.

Alias For

Displays the alias for the tag.

This field displays if the tag type is Alias.

This field appears dimmed on this dialog box.

Data Type

Displays the data type of the tag.

AXIS_CIP_DRIVE displays in this field, which is the only valid value for this dialog box.

Scope

Displays the scope of the tag.

External Access

Displays access rights for the tag.

Manual Tune

Click this button to open the Manual Tune dialog box in which you perform the manual tune function and run the drive.

OK

Click this button to accept or apply your edits for any of the settings in the dialog box.

Cancel

Click this button to cancel your edits for any of the settings in the dialog box.

Apply

Click this button to accept or apply your edits for any of the settings in the dialog box.

Help

Click this button for help for the settings in the dialog box.
