HMI navigation info for PPERM

Use the
HMI Navigation
 tab of the
PPERM Properties
 dialog box to enter navigation information for the Process Permissives (PPERM) instruction to label HMI faceplates.
To enter HMI navigation information for PPERM instructions
  1. On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
    • On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
    • In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and select
      Configure <tag name>
      .
  2. Select the arrow next to
    HMI
    and then select
    HMI Navigation.
  3. Set the parameters:
    • Allow navigation
      . Select to navigate to the PPERM object from the HMI faceplate.
    • Object tag name
      . Type the name of the object to navigate to if navigation is allowed. Text should contain the default controller path and default device. For example, /AREA::[SHORTCUT]Tag.
  4. View the read-only parameters:
    • Device state
      . When the
      Logix Designer
       application is online with the controller, the indicator displays the current device state, such as Off, Pulse on, or Out of service.
    • Device issues
      . When the
      Logix Designer
       application is online with the controller, the indicator displays fault conditions, such as Feedback fault or I/O fault.
  5. Select
    Apply
    .
