PVSD timer presets

Use the
Time Configuration
tab of the
PVSD Properties
dialog box to configure timer presets for the Process Variable Speed Drive (PVSD) instruction.
To configure timer presets for PVSD instructions
  1. On the instruction in the routine, perform one of these actions:
    • On the Ladder or FBD instruction, select .
    • In the Structured Text editor, right-click the tag name and select
      Configure <tag name>
      .
  2. Select the arrow next to
    Advanced
    and then select
    Time configuration
    .
  3. Set the parameters:
    • Time to pulse Out_Reset to clear fault
      . Enter a value for the amount of time (in seconds) to pulse the output which requests that the drive clear its fault.
    • Time after start for feedback before fault
      . Enter a value for the amount of time (in seconds) to allow drive run feedback to show running after a start command. If run feedback is not received in the allotted time, a Fail to Start status is raised.
    • Time after stop for feedback before fault
      . Enter a value for the amount of time (in seconds) to allow drive run feedback to show stopped after a stop command. If run feedback does not show stopped within the allotted time, a Fail to Stop status is raised.
    • Maximum jog time. 0 = unlimited.
      Enter a value for the amount of time (in seconds) the drive might be jogged before the jog command is automatically cleared. If this value is zero, the jog time is unlimited, and the jog command is not automatically cleared. When the button is released, the jog is cleared.
    • Time to sound audible on commanded start.
      Enter a value for the amount of time (in seconds) the audible should be sounded when the drive is commanded to start.
  4. View read-only parameters:
    • Device state
      . When the
      Logix Designer
      application is online with the controller, the indicator displays the current device state, such as Stopped, Running, or Out of service.
    • Device issues
      . When the
      Logix Designer
      application is online with the controller, the indicator displays fault conditions, such as Drive fault or I/O fault.
  5. Select
    Apply
    .
