Source Protection Configuration dialog box

Use the
Source Protection Configuration
dialog box to configure Source Protection for project components. This dialog box lists all routines, Add-on Instructions, and Equipment Phase State Routines in the project file.
TIP: To open the Source Protection Configuration dialog:
  • On the
    Tools
    menu, select
    Security > Configure Source Protection
    .
Apply Source Key Protection or License Source Protection to protect these components. Viewing or editing the component requires the license or the source key when Source Protection is applied.
Use the Source Protection Configuration dialog box to lock and unlock a protected component. A locked component is encrypted. To view or edit the component an authorized user must unlock the component.
TIP:
Execution Protection and component locking is supported only on
Compact GuardLogix
5380,
CompactLogix
5380,
CompactLogix
5480,
ControlLogix
5580, and
GuardLogix
5580 controllers in this version of the
Logix Designer
application.
View the list of components by
Protection
or by
Container
.
  • When organized by
    Protection
    (the default view), the list tree contains all the routines and Add-On Instructions in the project grouped by the source key or license that is used to protect them.
  • When organized by
    Container
    , the list tree contains all of the routines and Add-On Instructions in the project grouped by the Programs, Phases, or Add-On Instruction folder that they are contained in.
