Security toolbar

Use the
Security
toolbar to:
  • Lock or unlock individual license-protected components in a project.
  • Lock all license-protected components in a project.
  • Open the
    Source Protection Configuration
     dialog box.
If the toolbar is not visible, on the main menu click
View > Toolbars
 and select
Security
to display it.
The following table describes the buttons on the toolbar.

Opens the
Source Protection Configuration
 dialog box.
LockAllUnlockedIcon_v31 Lock all unlocked content
Locks all license-protected content in the project that is not locked. Click this button before sending a project across a trust boundary. For example, do not email an unlocked project over the Internet without either locking license-protected content, or encrypting the project file using a method such as a password protected zip file or Pretty Good Privacy (PGP).
This button is enabled only when a project contains unlocked content, and the controller supports Execution Protection and component locking.
LockAComponentIcon_v31 Lock a component
Locks the selected component.
UnlockAComponentIcon_v31 Unlock a component
Unlocks the selected component.
