Configure module log levels

By default, the
FactoryTalk Optix Studio
Output
pane shows all warnings, information, and error messages for all modules. Advanced mode allows you to display verbose messages.
Specify the maximum level of log information to appear on the Output pane for specific modules or all modules. Logs are saved in the System log regardless of the maximum level of information display in
FactoryTalk Optix Studio
. Storing unnecessary data may reduce performance.
  1. In the
    FactoryTalk Optix Studio
    title bar, select
    FactoryTalk Optix Studio Options
    .
  2. In
    FactoryTalk Optix Studio Options
    , select
    Advanced mode
    and select
    Save
    .
  3. Restart
    FactoryTalk Optix Studio
    for the Advanced mode to take effect.
  4. In the
    FactoryTalk Optix Studio
    title bar, select the drop-down arrow after
    FactoryTalk Optix Studio Options
    and select
    Module log levels configuration
    .
  5. In
    Module log level configuration
    , in
    Default level
    , select the default information level to appear in the
    Output
    pane:
    • Error
      . Error messages.
    • Warning
      . Warning messages.
    • Info
      . Information messages.
    • Verbose 1
      . First level verbose message for troubleshooting.
    • Verbose 2
      . Second level verbose message for troubleshooting.
  6. After each module, select the information level to display messages if the level is not the same as the specified
    Default level
    .
  7. Select
    Close
    .
